If you’ve ever related to another human being, you’ve probably experienced this.

Let's take this scenario, you’re having a discussion with someone, and he or she says something you know as a matter of fact to be absolutely false. You can politely challenge this person’s inaccuracy, but most people don’t want to be wrong, and many others have a hard time admitting it. It’s human nature, our inner-fear mechanism adapted to today’s insecurities rather than the old “fight or flight” days. But depending on who you’re talking to, proving to somebody that they are wrong can get awkward if the people involved take it too personally.

Even when all evidence points to them being wrong, some people will stubbornly hang on to their views because they’d rather be right and comfortable in being wrong rather than risk the discomfort of having to assimilate new information into their worldview.

As a matter of fact, the people who are the most righteous are usually the most miserable people on this earth anyway, aren’t they? The ones who always have to be right are usually just taking their insecurities and unhappiness out on others, true?

Being right doesn’t always mean being happy, but if we’re happy it doesn’t really matter who’s right or wrong. Being right isn’t as important a consideration when you’re secure and focused. The only thing that’s important is: will the experience move me toward a result that I believe will support my happiness? That will mean being wrong sometimes, but we have to experience this in order to learn how to get it right, and then get happier.

Be correct or be blissful. Now replace the word “rich” with “blissful.” Does that change the meaning of the phrase any? Not one bit! You can be correct or you can be rich; it’s still a choice. Being correct could mean holding on to old ways that aren’t supportive of being rich; unconscious blueprints, programming and conditioning that links negative thoughts to money. The more you decide that you want to be right, the more you’ve decided that you can pretty well kiss away being rich, not just financially but emotionally, spiritually, and mentally too. You can be correct or you can be rich.

Money is a really blessed thing, and if you have the where-with-all to be able to earn or have a lot of it, you have an advantage over a situation; a gift, talent, skill or way of being that is actually a little different than most people out there. At that point, who needs to be right?!? The quality of your life is all the proof you need.

That doesn’t mean compromising your good sense to someone because of their inflexibility, but happy people don’t need to prove anything. They figured out that along the way, you have to be wrong at least occasionally in order to learn how to get it right. I’d rather be wrong and learn something that will benefit me later than “right” and learn nothing—and maybe get someone PO’d at me for being a smart-ass!

A general and his low morale army....

Well, i was told a story by a friend of mine and i feel that i will be using that for my life to be in future...I am not sure about you others but, i believe it goes for everyone too. The story goes..

"In one of the histories of China, there were two sides of armies. One of them was the attacker but with lesser men in it. The other was the defender who had more men, better ground advantage and what's best, they are IN the castle. The attacking side, seeing that they are greatly disadvantaged with a river to cross, high strong walls to break through and men outnumbered but 1:3, were greatly demoralized. Some of them could not even eat nor sleep properly thinking of that disadvantage and soon, it grew into fear that spread around the army like a virus.

The general of the army saw this..and gathered all his men the night before the attack. With all his men lined up in formation and all waiting for the general to speak, mostly quivered and expected the worst. Then the general spoke with a strong clear voice:

"Forget the food that you're holding at your hand, you know that's crap! Forget the tents that you build for you know they are leaking and still makes you cold in the night! Forget the clothes you're wearing, for they will not protect nor keep you warm also!..Tomorrow, we will attack them! And we will win! And we will eat their best food, live in their big castle and also wear their best clothes! Don't fix your mind on what you currently have and use that to live for that will wear down or deplete and you will die a more torturous death than the enemies sword! We will attack them and we will win!"

His armies roared and it was so loud, it kept their enemies shaking even inside the castle..The next morning, they crossed that big river, attacked and they won....

I knew what my friend wanted to tell me right away....

Moral of the story/what my friend meant was:
"forget the thought of what you have, salary (for we all know it's never enough), places we stay (rented rooms, small apartments...sounds familiar?) or clothes/lifestyles that we have now..for we all know that will wear out...do something that you really want and put your head up high for that...even if the odds are greatly against you.."

What are we really doing when we “put all our cards on the table?” What cards? What table?

There was a fad not so long ago … maybe it’s still going on today … but Texas Hold ‘Em Poker was the rage. Who knew the difference between a “River” and a “Flop” before about 2003?

In Poker there’s predictably a point in the game where you’re holding what you think is a killer hand. You might have to “up the ante” because somebody else is thinking the same thing, then those who haven’t folded put their cards on the table and let the chips fall where they may.

The expressions that come from card games serve as reminders on strategy, guessing, “Fake it ‘til you make it,” when not to push your luck and when to say, “What the hell, I’m all in!” Going after those things that we want means taking risks without really knowing how the game will turn out.

But seriously, there’s nothing worse than playing a game of poker, getting a great hand, then upping the ante only to find out somebody else has an Ace to your King, or a Straight Flush to your Full House. But will a big loss be enough to keep you from throwing your cards on the table again? I mean a real kind of loss, like an investment gone sour or a business that took a big hit in the recession?

Your cards are going to change from game to game, as will the amount of chips you win and lose. But when we’re talking about laying our cards on the table, we gotta think about that table too.

If you’re playing on a three-legged table, well … you may still win from time to time, but ultimately that table isn’t gonna hold up over the long run, yes or yes? Your table’s got to be as strong as the cards you’re holding.

Play your cards if that’s what makes sense, but you have to be playing from a strong foundation to begin with—your table has to be sturdy enough to support a great hand to play when its time to play it. That support comes from the belief you have in yourself as well as your ability to play your cards to maximum effect. Those beliefs end up being the table’s legs, as what Anthony Robbins used in a metaphor. The more support you have in your legs, the stronger the table. In other words, start the game with self-supporting beliefs.

We can develop beliefs around anything if we find enough references to support it, yes? If we’re talking about financial success, you have to believe that you can or deserve to be a financial success. You have to visualize being there, like you belong there. The roots of our beliefs go deep.

What do the legs of your table look like right about now? What support can you honestly give yourself that—no matter what cards you happen to be holding at the time—you can lay them out with pride and confidence that you actually stand a chance of winning? Is one of your legs ‘persistence,’ or ‘willing to try new things’; or creativity, leadership, influencing? Whatever these legs are, they need to be true for you, and only you know that. If you don’t, asked trusted loved ones for support—then stand up!

You have to know when to hold ‘em, fold ‘em, go for it and call it a day, but know what legs you’re standing on, too.

A lesson on how consultants can make a difference in an organization.
Last week, we took some friends to a new Indian restaurant, 'Muthu's Place,' and noticed that the Indian waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket. It seemed a little strange. When the busboy brought our water and utensils, I observed that he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket. Then I looked around and saw that all the Indian staff had spoons in their pockets. When the waiter came back to serve our soup I inquired, 'Why the spoon?'
'Well, 'he explained, 'the restaurant's owner hired Andersen Consulting to revamp all of our processes. After several months of analysis, they concluded that the spoon was the most frequently dropped utensil. It represents a drop frequency of approximately 3 spoons per table per hour. If our personnel are better prepared, we can reduce the number of trips back to the kitchen and save 15 man-hours per shift.'
As luck would have it, I dropped my spoon and he replaced it with his spare. 'I'll get another spoon next time I go to the kitchen instead of making an extra trip to get it right now..' I was impressed.

I also noticed that there was a string hanging out of the Indian waiter's fly.

Looking around, I saw that all of the Indian waiters had the same string hanging from their flies. So, before he walked off, I asked the waiter, 'Excuse me, but can you tell me why you have that string right there?'

'Oh, certainly!' Then the Indian waiter lowered his voice. 'Not everyone is so observant. That consulting firm I mentioned also learned that we can save time in the restroom. By tying this string to the tip of our you-know-what, we can pull it out without touching it and eliminate the need to wash our hands, shortening the time spent in the restroom by 76.39%.'
I asked quietly, 'After you get it out, how do you put it back?'

'Well,' he whispered, 'I don't know about the others, but I use the spoon.'

For those who think that they are always busy...just read this story and remember the Mayonnaise jar and the coffee

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the
golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous " Yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

" Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, " I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things like your family, your children, your health, your friends, your favourite passions, things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else, like the small stuff."

Although it wasn't my first time to this exchanging game, just that to a practical person like me, I would buy something true value for money yet the significant within my budget boundary. Yes, same thing to you, set a budget for yourself for every occasion in your days. I read an article on the other day regarding this "Tips of Controlling Your Christmas Spending". If you are not worried about buying presents on this holiday season as you are about to spend it with you credit card, it might be the time to fling away your current gift list and start over with thoughtful gift which won't cause holiday stress.

Here are some tips are being shared with you guys how to make this season a wise spending holiday, rather than getting wrapped up in this holiday season.

Set Limits for the Whole Holiday Spending

Give your credit card and your emotion a healthy holiday by limiting what you buy and what you can safely come out from you bank account. Create a spending budget to decide on what you are afford to buy or match it with your current budget in order to balance out your monthly responsibilities and holiday spending. The money you can spend on gifts is the money not going to pile up bills. Year-end sales is not a great deal to buy the gifts you listed. Before you go to stores, collect all the coupon s given from your mailbox or searching via online if there is any coupon code on online purchasing. Give away personalized instead of expensive gifts

The secret behind The Secret

A lot of people asked me for my opinions on the phenomenon of The Secret and its focus on the Law of Attraction— which basically states if we envision what we want and think positive thoughts, these things will “attract” themselves into our lives.

There’s profound truth in the Law of Attraction, but if you want an example of some real live magic, take the example of J.K. Rowling, who wrote the Harry Potter books that turned into mega-hit movies. Her idea about a young magician just popped into her head one day. A little more than a decade later, she became a multi-millionaire. But this wasn’t just by luck.

I mean, Rowling may have had a profound “aha” moment, but it took years of focus, effort, overcoming obstacles, and developing herself as a person. In other words, she took action, and the riches still didn’t come all at once. But as she was establishing the roots of her character, she went from mild success to outrageous success. She didn’t just think of this and it happened.

The Law of Attraction is accurate, if for no other reason than self-fulfilling prophecy. You think, you feel, you act, you get a result. But it’s just one of many rules we have to consider in order to produce something. Like the Law of Investment—you put something to use, it will grow. You can’t always just think something into existence. You often have to do something too, yes?

We’ve all experienced the truth of The Law of Attraction. Ever think about somebody you haven’t talked to in a while only to have them call you within minutes? There’s all the proof we need about the power of thoughts and their connection to the universe.

When it comes to goal-setting though, we need focus that will direct our actions. So let’s put a little science to the magic, structure it a bit:

What kind of net income would you like to produce per year over the next three to five years? WRITE IT DOWN.
What do you want your net worth to be at the end of this time frame? WRITE IT DOWN.

Now let’s sprinkle a little wishful thinking in there by adding a zero at the end of those numbers. Go ahead, add the 0 to the end of the numbers you wrote down!

When you have a focus and not just a wish, you’re taking another step toward figuring out the different ways you could go about meeting that goal. With that kind of focus, it’s clearer for you to see what you need to do, how you can go about doing it, and then the doors start opening. The coincidences start piling up. The confidence builds, and you find yourself manifesting your thoughts even faster.

We co-create reality with the Universe, or the Great Spirit, or whatever you want to call it, with our thoughts. So what you think definitely matters in what gets attracted to you.

But we also have to take focused, effective, consistent action, with the power of optimism as the emotional fuel. Attraction’s not just a one-way street. The Universe will do its part, but we have to do ours too.

ACT even if it kills you!

It’s something that may not seem like a big deal all of the time—and in some cases it may not be—but think about the habit of putting things off when you know you shouldn’t.

For example: you have a deadline in two days. You know you need to put in extra hours in order to get it done on time, but … ‘I can always just do it tomorrow.’ Or any of the infinite reasons we come up with that basically boil down to “I don’t ‘feel’ like it.”

We can’t ignore how we feel, but should how we feel always dictate whether or not we take action, when we need to take it?

No evidence needed but common experience. When you fail to take action when you knew you should have, how do you feel? You feel worse, not even considering the actual consequences. There are enough things out there that can make us feel bad. There’s no reason for us to do this to ourselves.

It’s very easy to give in to feelings. Heck, there are plenty of times when we should, but we’re not slaves to them either. We just need to keep in mind that feelings come from thoughts, and we have the power to change our thoughts whenever we want. Change your thoughts, change the way you feel.

Instead of focusing on “I don’t feel like it,” focus on why you should get it done … now. Think about how good you’ll feel once it’s finished, and how it can free you up to do other things you want or need to do, and how proud you’ll be of yourself for acting in spite of not “feeling” like it. You shouldn’t deny yourself these little victories that mean something, yes or yes?

The Law of Momentum states, “A body at rest tends to remain at rest while a body in motion tends to remain in motion.” So what?

So get into motion! Don’t think, just do it! Train yourself to get going even if you don’t “feel” like it, like that feeling you get jumping out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off. You may be a little groggy at first, but after a few minutes, you’re up and at it. Moods change quickly once you’re in motion. It’s biological and psychological.

If you’re still having a hard time getting over that hump, what are you thinking that makes you not “feel” like it? It’s going to be too hard? Too painful to complete? Take more time than you want it to?

Even if any of that is remotely true—which it usually isn’t because we tend to make things out to be worse than they really are when we’re stressed—no one’s helping themselves with disaffirming thoughts. Instead of “I don’t want to do this,” how about “I’m going to treat myself when I’m done.” Positive associations instead of negative. You can make the best of it or the worst of it. We choose. It’s as simple as that.

Take one step at a time until the Law of Momentum kicks in. By then, you’ll forget that you didn’t “feel” like it, and you’ll be well on your way to finishing … and feeling great about it.

Felt that you just need more?

Purpose and desire aren’t mutually exclusive. We know that the reasons you have for all this are just as good as anybody else’s—to try something you’ve always wanted to try; for expensive toys; getting the kids to college; preparing to care for aged loved ones—there’re a million and one reasons to want to be successful financially.

There are no wrong reasons to go for what you want as long as it’s coming from a place of your truth. Fulfilling your needs doesn’t excite anybody, but going after what you want? Oh yes! It’s got to move you!

Just take a moment of your routined life and sink this in,“If I could do this … oh my God!”

The purpose for having money is pretty well the most important element in having money. I am sure people who want to be rich did so for a reason as if they needed to become rich. Most of them don’t live all that happily because they needed to become rich in order to prove that they’re okay, or responding to some programming other than an intention that moved them from their inner core.

So go for whatever you want. In the end, we’re all going for the same thing. What we’re really seeking is the feeling that the objects of our wants will bring. A new house can give us a sense of comfort. A new car can heighten a feeling of importance. Travel and toys can invoke excitement and stave off boredom. Launching the business dream job can satisfy our need to achieve and be recognized.

But we need to be real careful about what it is we want. Sometimes people keep wanting things and getting them, only to find out they didn’t really want it, or get bored real fast (which is usually the case), only to want more and guess what? Those wants keep piling up, and pretty soon you’re wanting something so badly that you’re looking at the future as if that’s the place where your happiness will reside. That’s the desire trap.

The point isn’t that we shouldn’t want the objects we think will make us happy. However, we have to keep in mind that our happiness isn’t limited to the objects of our desires. We don’t have to wait until we get want we want in order to be happy.

We can gain those same feelings we think our material desires will give us in other ways. Donating time to a cause you really care about can provide feelings of security and connection among like-minded individuals, and recognition that makes you feel good about yourself for helping others.

The more we focus on the positive experiences we want out of life, not only do we tend to produce those more frequently, but also the easier it is to produce the “things” we want.

Now hear this for yourself. Have you ever wanted something so badly—even something major like a certain career or expensive object—only to find out it didn’t really fulfill you? What was the lesson from the experience?

Problems when a chinese man dines with an english man... =)

The Chinese man lifted his glass up and made a toast to the English man,

“Kan Pei” (Cheers).

The English man was confused but he continued eating.

This happened a few times and whenever the Chinese man wanted to drink he would always say “Kan Pei”

The English man only nodded and silently continued to drink and eat.

Not long after, the Chinese man once again said, “Kan Pei” whilst lifting up his glass.

Watercress, the new superfood...

Uk Scientists say watercress is the new super food, able to prevent certain types of cancer.

According to a study published this week in The British Journal of Nutrition, the consumption of a three ounce portion of watercress reduced the presence of a key tumor growth factor six and eight hours after eating
the watercress in healthy patients who had previously been treated for breast cancer.

The study was conducted by the Cancer Research Centre at the School of Medicine, Southampton General Hospital in the United Kingdom.

The study concluded watercress is as therapeutic as traditional drug treatments with tamoxifen and herceptin, commonly used chemotherapy drugs. The study also said that through regular consumption, watercress "has the potential to confer valuable protection against cancer in general."

"Watercress has the ability to turn off HIF1, a signal sent out by cells calling for blood supply," said noted aging scientist Dr. Nicholas Perricone.

When HIF1 becomes incorrectly regulated, otherwise harmless precancerous clusters of cells have the opportunity to grow to form invasive tumors. "Scientists have been looking for anti-angiogenesis agents for years because if we can turn off the blood supply, we can kill the cancer," said Perricone. "And it looks like watercress can do that."

Another study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in February of 2007 showed that, in addition to reducing DNA damage, a daily dose of watercress increased the ability of cells to further resist DNA damage that may be caused by free radicals.

In the study, 60 men and women, half of whom were smokers, consumed their usual diet plus 85 grams of raw watercress daily for eight weeks. Blood samples were analyzed for plasma antioxidant status and DNA damage in lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. Watercress consumption significantly reduced lymphocyte DNA damage.

In the time of the Romans, Greeks and Persians watercress was used as a natural medicine, prescribed for migraines, anemia, eczema, kidney and liver disorder and tuberculosis.

Bloody long way to Melbourne

We are lucky enough to get a next-to-window seat again. I love to take photos of the magnificent sky right out of the window and it is the best among the shots..

It showed how it turned into darker and darker in 20 minutes time..

We arrived Melbourne around 12am midnight...Temperature that time was just 8 degree low...We were not just shivering in cold, yet hardly to take a deep breath..Aunty Thai already waited us at the exit point and brought us some of her self-made winter jacket...It was truly warm enough to put on..The first bloody cold night, I hardly turned in...It was damn cold and my skin started to crack off...Terrific painful night!

Early in the morning, I was awaken by the curry fragrant came from the kitchen.. 2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's amino or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.
To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

f. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

g. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

Heard you mention of the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico this morning, and you (and most everyone else except maybe George Noory) are totally missing the boat on how big and bad of a disaster this is.

First fact, the original estimate was about 5,000 gallons of oil a day spilling into the ocean. Now they're saying 200,000 gallons a day. That's over a million gallons of crude oil a week!

I'm engineer with 25 y ears of experience. I've worked on some big projects with big machines. Maybe that's why this mess is so clear to me.

First, the BP platform was drilling for what they call deep oil. They go out where the ocean is about 5,000 feet deep and drill another 30,000 feet into the crust of the earth. This it right on the edge of what human technology can do. Well, this time they hit a pocket of oil at such high pressure that it burst all of their safety valves all the way up to the drilling rig and then caused the rig to explode and sink. Take a moment to grasp the import of that. The pressure behind this oil is so high that it destroyed the maximum effort of human science to contain it.

When the rig sank it flipped over and landed on top of the drill hole some 5,000 feet under the ocean.

Now they've got a hole in the ocean floor, 5,000 feet down with a wrecked oil drilling rig sitting on top of is spewing 200,000 barrels of oil a day into the ocean. Take a moment and consider that, will you!

First they have to get the oil rig off the hole to get at it in order to try to cap it. Do you know the level of effort it will take to move that wrecked oil rig, sitting under 5,000 feet of water? That operation alone would take years and hundreds of millions to accomplish. Then, how do you cap that hole in the muddy ocean floor? There just is no way. No way.

The only piece of human technology that might address this is a nuclear bomb. I'm not kidding. If they put a nuke down there in the right spot it might seal up the hole. Nothing short of that will work.

If we can't cap that hole that oil is going to destroy the oceans of the world. It only takes one quart of motor oil to make 250,000 gallons of ocean water toxic to wildlife. Are you starting to get the magnitude of this?

We're so used to our politicians creating false crises to forward their criminal agendas that we aren't recognizing that we're staring straight into possibly the greatest disaster mankind will ever see. Imagine what happens if that oil keeps flowing until it destroys all life in the oceans of this planet. Who knows how big of a reservoir of oil is down there.

Not to mention that the oceans are critical to maintaining the proper oxygen level in the atmosphere for human life.

We're humped. Unless God steps in and fixes this. No human can. You can be sure of that!

I really love this quote too...makes you think what kind of person you are. Basically, what it means is that a person with dreams but are always living in a dream, will always stay that way..A DREAM. A person with a dream, stays focus in achieving it NO MATTER WHAT circumstances and uses the logical mind will be the ones who "collects rent" from dreamers.

Basically, this is very true as...just look around...everyone has a dream...i am sure of it...but they still stay the same...and who are the ones who are "collecting the rent"? basically those who work hard towards their dreams and are million/billionaires who own companies after companies and they just collect the rents from dreamers!...

Many people are either too stubborn, egoistic or just too comfortable with their lives and will not change their attitudes towards things...but tend to blame or more ideally, push the fault away/to someone else...sounds familiar? i am very sure it is...you can start looking by those who are close to you first...then look further to ur circle of friends...yes....i am sure there are many now if u think of it.......but actually, before looking into people..the most important thing here is...look into urself...many people fail to "be a psychiatrist" is because they fail in changing themselves! They are more worked up about why people are treating them that way or complaining and bitching about other people or things that happened to them...but i guarantee that most of those unpleasant things happened are 95% from your own self. Eg: some one who takes things for granted who always say "nah..it won't happen to me" and fail to take precautions, but when something bad happens, they start blaming their spouse, family or friends..probably even their dog and god.... =D.

There was a Jim Carrey show that was long ago filmed, "Bruce Almighty". At the end of the show, he shouted to the cameraman "Be the miracle"...that's exactly it! you want your dreams and mircales to happen to you, you just have to be the miracle first! =)

I have suffered toe nail cracking problem since few years back, thought it was caused by toiletries chemical product..Until I flipped over the newspapers and found out it actually is a chronic skin disease, known as Plaque Psoriasis. Psoriasis is a dry, scaly skin disorder and usually found on the arms, legs, trunk, nails, or scalp, but psoriasis may be found on any part of the skin., causing intense itching and red burning...The most commonly affected areas are the knees and elbows. Pathetically for my case, it happens on my toe nail..I noticed the symptoms on my toe nail, it started to crack, rough surface and discoloration in yellow..I wanted to post the photo of my sick toe nail on the blog so that you are in more conversant about Psoriasis...But "Blissfully Happy" is meant to be a foodie blog, probably would feel disgusting if putting nauseous pictures...

Doctors believed that it is genetic predisposition or is caused by the malfunction of the immune system , resulting in skin cells being produced too quickly. Normally, our skin cells take about 21-28 days to replace themselves. However, in patients with psoriasis only take around 2-6 days. Constant shedding of dead cells that both dead and live cells accumulate on the skin surface. It would cause red, flaky, crusty patches which are shed damn easily.

I tried different medications and also medical ointments on the sickening nail, but neither one works...Telling myself that it would be cure by itself when new nail grows out, but in fact it doesn't...Psoriasis is considered a non-curable, long-term skin disease...Psoriasis patients like me are advised to intake more Vitamin A & D combined with long -term medical treatment to prevent it from worsening... Although it doesn't affect my daily activities, just that I feel embarrassed when wearing open-toe heels..This is why recently I limited myself choosing only with the round-toe heels go with my apparels.. Ishhh...

Qing Ming is our Chinese traditional festival for us to remember and honor our ancestors...Traditionally we have to pray before our ancestors, sweep the tomb, burn the paper gifts for the deceased and offer foods in front of their grave sites...But since my mum was placed in a quadrangle, so we can save work on cleaning stone tomb...Table and joss stick tub were already prepared by the workers, and they also provided cleaning services after praying...This is one good about quadrangle, makes the praying process simple, tidy and the most important is can avoid excessive sunlight exposure...

Bryan cooked home-made dishes origin from Mum's own recipe (yong tau fu, steamed glutinous rice, vegetarian dishes, roasted duck... ) and other tributes like fruits and chrysanthemum flower. For me, I served cheese tarts and herbal tea eggs for Mum..I actually sacrificed my sleeping hours to make the cheese tarts on the midnight..So those cheese tarts were still "fresh" in the morning...

It wasn't my first attempt dining in Milwaukee Steak Corner..The first thing you might wonder why the ground floor and the 1st floor are totally in different ambiance... One is attached with air-conditioner, warm lighting, glass table and leather tall chairs, they have singing performance during every weekend some more...But the later one looked moldy, stuffy, served with vulnerable-liked wooden tables chairs...I heard that the 1st floor customers are charged with higher prices for foods and beverages...So every enjoying moment on the upper floor includes a PRICE!

Medium rare New York Steak in Brown sauce...Nice grilled stripes!

Our favorite side dish- Escargot in finely chopped garlic...

Ox tail soup and bolognese spaghetti ...Reluctant to take the ox tail soup in the first place, it reminded me of the cow's waving hairy tail! *shiver in disgusting*

But frankly it was nice to taste because the herbs and spices are pretty matched with it...

9 reasons why smart people GO NO WHERE

I am sure that very often you see someone, a friend or family member and you tell yourself, "how come he/she is so smart, but they are just average/a little lower than average?". There are MANY of them. You might be surprised why this is the case. They have the brains to go somewhere, be someone and do remarkable things. When you talk to them, you will realize that even they want to go somewhere, be someone and do remarkable things.

Then, what causes smart people to go nowhere in life?

There is a ton of discussion in the comments here and at Hacker News about why everyone decides what is a good life for them and things are just OK as they are. I have tried to participate as much as I can on the comments section but I have to clarify a couple of things here.

Success for me is “increased capacity to contribute to the world around you.” Smart people have a special responsibility to be successful and make this world a better place. Why? Because they can. However, MANY smart people are barely able to take care of themselves and feel “stuck” in life. Please read the rest of the article with that background. Thanks.

OK, here are a few reasons to start with:

1. They are not lucky (enough):

I have to start with a controversial reason first. Yes, luck (and also timing) plays a big role in someone’s success. Luck alone may not get one somewhere special but a little bit of luck will go a long way to get them to a better place. The following tweet from my hero Tom Peters sums this up nicely:

Like I said, luck alone won’t take anyone anywhere. It can. But that’s rare.
Knowing this, you can do something to start improving your luck. Yes, it is random. And yes, you can improve your chances of meeting luck. It is in your hands.

You should remember that fortune favors the brave. More importantly, you should remember that “luck” does not happen if you wish for it and wait.

How much ever important luck is, it is not in your control. In other words, you can’t work on “luck” directly. You can work on everything else and improve the chances of getting “lucky.”

2. Life is (quite) different outside the sandbox:

It all starts at the school. When people get good grades at school, they are considered smart. Except that school is a “sandbox” environment where the penalty for making mistakes is very low. In some schools and exam systems, memorization is given a huge premium – meaning the person who can memorize the best is considered the smartest. They don’t say it that way but the exams are designed to test someone’s memorization skill rather than testing what they have learned.

The marketplace is very different from the school. It is nothing close to a sandbox. The rules that work in the marketplace are very different from the rules that work in the sandbox. In fact, there are very few rules that work in the marketplace.

It will take a while for many “sandbox smarts” to graduate to “marketplace smarts.”

Note: Before you jump to any conclusions, I have to say that I was one of the “sandbox smarts” so I know how it feels. 3. Their risk appetite may be low:

In school, following the rules helped them get great grades. In the marketplace, following the rules to the dot will help them lead a “successful” life at best. In average cases, it will lead them to lead a mediocre life. At the center, you are safe but there is no premium.At the edges, there is less safety but the chances of getting a premium is high. In a “safe” or sandbox environment there was no need to take big risks. In fact, taking risks would not be rewarded.

The thing about risk is that you keep avoiding it and you will get used to avoiding risk. After a while, it becomes VERY uncomfortable to take any risk. And, then – it’s end of the road.

4. Their past success may become a baggage:

They say success begets success. But they never said “sandbox success” will beget “marketplace success.” In fact, success begets success only when you are willing to adapt to the new situations very RAPIDLY. What worked in their past gives them a feeling that following what made them successful in the past will make them successful in the future.

5. Ego -> Entitlement:

Early success (even in a sandbox environment) can build up one’s ego. When the person does not keep his or her ego in check, ego slowly transforms into entitlement. When a person feels entitled for something, he or she does not have to act much.

There is no entitlement for anyone in the marketplace. Until one reaches a tipping point, the only question a marketplace asks is “What have you done for me lately?”

6. Not acting when there is a need to act:

The fear of failure makes some people go for “extreme preparation” – trying to cross all the “t”s and dotting all the “i”s – trying to be “fully” ready before taking the first step. As they prepare more, they realize that there is a need to prepare even more. They end up going into a never-ending loop.

For many people, smartness stops in thinking and cooking up cool things. We all know that ideas are important but they are only worth much more if they are brilliantly executed.

Some smart people worry that others will steal their ideas and they won’t share them. So it’s a double loss there. If they stop worrying about others stealing their idea and start executing, it will be a whole new world out there.

7. Not knowing they need help:

In a “sandbox” environment, there was not a big requirement for teamwork. They were able to win the game with a solo act. It worked OK then. Unfortunately, the marketplace requires a bigger push – requiring a larger set of resources to be in play. The first step towards that is to realize that they need “more help” to succeed in the marketplace. Even if they have the skills to complete everything on their own “individually” trying to do everything on their own will be futile. It will have the same effect as an one-man orchestra performance will have.

8. Not getting “good help” when required:

They say knowing is not doing but doing is doing. Knowing is not enough. One needs a different level of humility to go and ask for that help. Unfortunately, that wont be sufficient as good people have “enough” opportunities to pursue and their request has to compete with all the available opportunities in front of those people that can offer “good help.”

9. Their relationship with failure:

Nobody has the “midas touch” – which means that sooner than later, they will fail and learn. Some smart people don’t want to fail and may think that a failure will expose that they are “inadequate” in some way. Unless that relationship to failure changes, they will keep trying something that has a sure-shot chance of success. This would automatically lead to tried and tested routes – that will lead to very predictable and probably mediocre lives.

The above list is no way complete. The point of the post is to trigger some thinking on this much needed topic.

Last night, I was so surprised that my dad did sneak away couple of magazines from the lady's house next to us...He claimed that she dumped the old magazines outside her door side so he grabbed some home for me thought that I might need it some days...OMG...I can't believe this..Crazy dad only picked wedding magazines and I wonder what was he thinking about? Wedding magazines?? Is he giving a great hint to me that I shall ring the wedding bell and get married right after my graduation? Few years back he forbidden me to date someone, and that was the time I couldn't get him.. avoiding him all the times... Now I just realized he didn't wanna let go because he knows his obligation as an ignorant girl's father haven't complete yet....until the girl grown up and getting into working life soon.... The truth about strict disciplines from parents is they want us to accomplish things in different life stages orderly...They scold they punish..No shortcut shall girls to step forward, or young girl you will get resentment one day... cuddle your baby and cry... Of course there are few exceptions, but most of them wish they could have somebody did something strict to them and fix things right...

A glamorous wedding party used to be my prime dream..But these years my thinking changed...I changed to someone who prefer a simple wedding instead of having a big one...Probably only a piece of marriage certificate will do...Taking backpack and traveling around which actually to see the real world out there...just only the two of us... :)

Cancer - Eat more enzymes!

I read this somewhere (don't ask me where) before and so, i guess news like these should be shared!..

It has been said that
cancer is the final stage in years of acting against the
laws of nature, and that anyone with an unhealthy lifestyle
and who eats improperly spends his whole life preparing for
this dreaded disease.

What is the nature of cancer as seen from the cellular
level? Dr. John Beard, a leading professor of embryology in
Scotland, posed that question sometime in the 1880s. He
spent the rest of his life exploring the process of cancer
and discovering just what activity within the body produces
malignant tumors. Dr. Beard documented his work in a
publication called "The Enzyme
Treatment of Cancer And Its Scientific Basis",
copyright 1911..

We have in our bodies what scientists call primitive germ
cells. In laymen's terms, these are undeveloped cells
that remain after new life is first formed in a mother's
womb. They are called "primitive" because these
cells never did develop into mature cells to form various
parts of the body. Think of primitive germ cells as extra
cells that were not needed in the formation of the fetus.
These cells are therefore in each of us, and they seemingly
have no function until and unless the body experiences
stress or injury of any kind. At that point, the primitive
cells become activated in order to help heal whatever stress
or injury the body may be experiencing. And once they are
activated, these primitive cells start maturing and behaving
like trophoblasts cells, which are the cells that house the
fetus in an expectant mother. Dr. Beard found that these
activated cells continue their
growth and development until enough protein digesting
enzymes are brought to bear. When there is a sufficient
amount of protein digesting enzymes in the body the growth
of activated cells ceases. The organ known as the pancreas
produces these enzymes, but if it fails to produce enough of
them then the activated primitive cells will continue their
trophoblasts-like growth eventually producing a cancerous
tumor. So whenever healing is initiated by primitive germ
cells it is vital that the body have enough protein
digesting enzymes to halt the healing process once it has
reached a certain point. Dr. Beard's most important
discovery was that if there are not enough of certain
enzymes in the body then the growth of activated primitive
germ cells will proceed unchecked and lead to the formation
of a cancerous tumor. Indeed, the present day enzyme
treatment of cancer is based largely on this important
discovery

In a real sense, protein digesting enzymes
are our first line of defence against cancer. That is why
it is so important that we nourish the body in a way that
introduces protein digesting enzymes into it everyday.
Otherwise, we must depend on the limited capability of our
pancreas to produce such enzymes. All too often our pancreas
is not capable of supplying enough digestive enzymes to
digest the preponderance of cooked food that we consume
daily. [Note: when food is cooked it kills the enzymes and
when we eat those foods it becomes the job of our pancreas
to supply enzymes to digest them; but the pancreas is
limited in this regard].

When someone has cancer,
no matter where the malignant tumor shows up, it is vital
that they consume foods whose enzymes have not been killed.
That means eating an abundance of raw fruits, vegetables and
nuts. Dr. Beard and other researchers have discovered that
enzymes that digest protein
play a
key role in halting the growth of cancer cells. It's
no wonder that virtually every alternative cancer treatment
program encourages patients to stop eating animal products
and to eat more raw enzyme-rich fruits and vegetables. When
someone has cancer, if they continue eating a daily diet of
animal products (meat, chicken, fish, dairy, etc.), these
hard to digest foods greatly challenge an already overworked
pancreas. Cancer, no matter where it shows up, is a sure
sign that the pancreas is not producing adequate enzymes. In
addition, eating animal products makes the body chemistry
considerably more acidic, and cancer cells thrive in an
acidic environment. And, as mentioned earlier, a lack of
protein digesting enzymes allows out of control primitive
germ cells to become cancerous. In that sense, we can think
of cancer, any cancer, as an enzyme deficiency disease.

The good news is that we can each do something about this
situation.
We can change what we eat and eat more foods that
introduce enzymes into the body, as opposed to mainly cooked
foods that require the body to manufacture critically needed
enzymes. One such food that is especially helpful in this
regard is the papaya and
papaya seeds; another is pineapple. Both
fruits contain enzymes (papain and bromelain,
respectively) that are similar to the protein digesting
enzymes made by the pancreas. Another extremely beneficial food is
sprouts (bean sprouts,
broccoli sprouts). They are a rich source of
beneficial enzymes and other nutrients that are known to
suppress cancerous activity. Protein digesting
enzymes are particularly important in that they can
dissolve the
protein coating that forms around all cancer cells, and
this enables the immune system to finally 'see' the
cancer cells and target them for destruction. These foods
also make the body chemistry less acidic and thus a lot less
conducive for cancerous activity. (See Barbara

Grant it,
protein digesting enzymes may not be the only answer to
cancer, but truly they are the body's first defense
against this most dreaded disease.. If I ever though I had
cancer, aside from abstaining from animal protein, sugar,
refined grains, and processed foods, I would be sure to
eat at least a half of a papaya and a generous portions of
its seeds daily in order to strengthen my body's first
line of defence.

I've always known that water was good for you..but it seems there is a timing for this. I've tried it (especially drinking 2 glasses in the morning right after waking up) and it seems that i am not so sleepy after doing it especially during noon time. Well, hope this helps for any of you too:

Correct timing to take water, will maximize its effectiveness to Human body.

Two (02) glass of water - After waking up - Helps activate internal organs

One (01) glasses of water - 30 minutes before meal - Help digestion

One (01) glass of water - Before taking a bath - Helps lower blood pressure

No more home alone girl

I enjoyed every moment in the Interviewing Skills program today with a group of unacquainted "Utarian" together .. We may have seen each other faces in the campus, but we didn't even say Hi to greet one in the charming morning...What I going to reinforce here is that I finally met some new friends out of my boring tutorial group since the last 6 months...I actually had quite a lot of fun with them without any tension feelings...What I can see from them are outgoing people and that is the charming personality utterly out of my box....I wish I could just like them with optimistic-minded and good in interpersonal...I used to lock up myself out of the community to certain people and living in my own world...That's totally wrong in me...Bu from now on, I'm not that home alone girl I always see myself in the mirror...I would take an initiative step to change,and no more stupid looking back...Can you actually see that, I urge myself to move on or even further...Just simply adding in a big C in my lifestyle...Pretty fantastic huh...

The reason I got insomnia in 2 months back is most of the time I felt upset and helpless...Seriously lacked of communication with friends and kept whining about it to bf ..I'm so sorry that I've failed him several times...That was the point of time I realized interpersonal skill was not one of my living tool...But I appreciated that I did push myself to join the program (I was so reluctant to get out from the bed), or I will just stagnate there and get cynical... Shameful...
